The management of Life Knowledge Park is governed by the following bodies:
Members: Chaired by Sir Richard Sykes of Imperial College, London, the group comprises of representatives from the Department of Health; Department of Trade & Industry; Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust; Newcastle University; Durham University; International Centre for Life and members of the LKP Board.
Remit: To provide strategic direction and comments on the strategy and finance presented by LKP Board.
Members: Chaired by Professor Michael Whitaker, Dean of Development at Newcastle University, the group comprises of representatives from Newcastle University; Durham University; Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust; International Centre for Life; PEALS Research Unit; LGC Ltd; Department fo Trade & Industry, Department of Health and members of the LKP Executive.
Remit: To operationalise the strategy and business plan agreed by the LKP Board.
Members: Chaired by Professor John Burn, Executive Director, the group comprises of representatives from the Institue of Human Genetics; Institute of Ageing & Health; Northern Genetics Service; International Centre for Life; CELS; PEALS Research Unit and the LKP Management team.
Remit: To provide accountability and compliance to funders and stakeholders and agrees strategy and business plan.
